Motivational Video- Zebra drowns Lioness

Generosity

This story implies multiple morals to us. Read on

Mahatma Gandhi went from city to city, village to village collecting funds for the Charkha Sangh. During one of his tours he addressed a meeting in Orissa. After his speech a poor old woman got up. She was bent with age, her hair was grey and her clothes were in tatters. The volunteers tried to stop her, but she fought her way to the place where Gandhiji was sitting. "I must see him," she insisted and going up to Gandhiji touched his feet. Then from the folds of her sari she brought out a copper coin and placed it at his feet. Gandhiji picked up the copper coin and put it away carefully. The Charkha Sangh funds were under the charge of Jamnalal Bajaj. He asked Gandhiji for the coin but Gandhiji refused. "I keep cheques worth thousands of rupees for the Charkha Sangh," Jamnalal Bajaj said laughingly "yet you won't trust me with a copper coin." "This copper coin is worth much more than those thousands," Gandhiji said. "If a man has several lakhs and he gives away a thousand or two, it doesn't mean much. But this coin was perhaps all that the poor woman possessed. She gave me all she had. That was very generous of her. What a great sacrifice she made. That is why I value this copper coin more than a crore of rupees."

The two moral I can frame this story are

1. Being Generous is not only in money, but also in the attitude.

2. God not only values you based on number of hours you work but also based on your willingness to work.

For example: Raja is free the whole day and spends only two hours on studying for exams and Rakesh works in hotel and can gets only two hours to study, God would value Rakesh's effort more than Raja's. Because he spends the only two hours he is free on studying.

Motivational stories - Hardwork

Everything I have narrated below is my understanding of how and why my life reacted to my actions.

I am 26 years old now and I cannot say that I have not achieved anything; I also cannot say that I have achieved everything. But I can be sure of one thing, when I invested hard work on any thing it always resulted in Success. Be it how I did or what I did, if I put in hard work, it always resulted in success. The below is a short narration of one such moment in my life, when I realised “Hard work never fails”.

This happened in the year 2004, My sixth semester university exams was nearing, I had at least a dozen of papers from the previous exams apart from 6 papers from my current semester’s. On one fine day, just before the study holiday’s begun I was sitting with my friends in a snack shop and discussing about how to face this exam. And suddenly one of my friend quoted something new to me,

“It is all the hard work you do, no matter how tough the question paper is or how much of your answers are correct. God knows how hard you’ve worked and will answer to it definitely.”

This sentence rang in my mind again and again and the next 30 days, I was always seen with the books. Only this time I went through some books for the first time in the past three years. I tried and tried to understand many of the concepts for the first time. I sorted help from some of the studious in my class and they helped me a lot. But even before I could complete 50% of the chapters, time ran out and my first exam of sixth semester came nigh. Guys who had cleared the papers on time would get a day holiday between each exam, but for me it was like a Test Cricket Match. I would have two exams per day, six days a week for three weeks. On one such day, I had tough exams on both morning and afternoon, so I decided not to care about the exam on the afternoon and concentrate for the one in the morning. Next day morning I was in the examination hall and I opened my question paper for which I thought I had concentrated fully. But the questions looked like some complex alien language. I was not sure I would even able to attend at least two questions. However still having the hard work never fails concept in my mind I started attending all the questions with what ever I had learnt. By the time I finished the paper my world was covered with full of sorrow. I heard a voice in my head telling me “I am gonna fail this paper”. Everything went black and I cried. My mom called me to ask how my exam was and I was not able to control and I cried.

Some how I completed all my exams and my results came after a month. I still remember my friend informing me the results over the phone, that I have cleared many of my papers. But all I cared was about the one paper which made me cry. I had cleared that paper. Yet this time it made me cry again but this time , tears of joy. Also on a whole I had cleared 18 papers, which was a college record. I would like to attribute all of these to god who handled the situation. So don’t pray to god for success, pray to him to give enough strength to work or fight hard. Success is just product of hard work.

God's Gift - Inspirational story

Hi,
I got the below mail from one of my friend and I was really inspiring
A young man was getting ready to graduate college. For many months he had admired a beautiful sports car in a dealer's showroom, and knowing his father could well afford it, he told him that was all he wanted.

As Graduation Day approached, the young man awaited signs that his father had purchased the car. Finally, on the morning of his graduation his father called him into his private study. His father told him how proud he was to have such a fine son, and told him how much he loved him. He handed his son a beautiful wrapped gift box.

Curious, but somewhat disappointed the young man opened the box and found a lovely, leather-bound Bible. Angrily, he raised his voice at his father and said, "With all your money you give me a Bible?" and stormed out of the house, leaving the holy book.

Many years passed and the young man was very successful in business. He had a beautiful home and wonderful family, but realized his father was very old, and thought perhaps he should go to him. He had not seen him since that graduation day. Before he could make arrangements, he received a telegram telling him his father had passed away, and willed all of his possessions to his son. He needed to come home immediately and take care things. When he arrived at his father's house, sudden sadness and regret filled his heart.

He began to search his father's important papers and saw the still new Bible, just as he had left it years ago. With tears, he opened the Bible and began to turn the pages. As he read those words, a car key dropped from an envelope taped behind the Bible. It had a tag with the dealer's name, the same dealer who had the sports car he had desired. On the tag was the date of his graduation, and the words...PAID IN FULL.

How many times do we miss God's blessings because they are not
packaged as we expected?

Motivational Personality - Chris Gardner

Chris Gardner(yes, the one you know from Pursuit of happiness) was born on 1954 in Wisconsin. Gardner’s childhood was not as good as ours. His stepfather was physically abusive and was rage. Intolerable with her husband Gardner’s mother tried to kill her husband by burning the house with her husband inside, for which she was imprisoned. She was the only source of inspiration or motivation to her son, Chris. She believed in Chris and asked him to believe in himself, which induced Gardner’s self reliance.
Gardner quotes his mother’s words
“You can only depend on yourself. The Cavalry ain’t coming.”
Gardner always learned from his experience and he understood he should avoid alcoholism, domestic abuse, child abuse, illiteracy, fear, and powerlessness in his life in future.
His dream job was to become a Stock Broker and achieving it was not very easy. He had to run behind lots of manager, his cars constantly amassed parking tickets, he was homeless and still willing took custody of his son. His road to success was not smooth; he had to stumble upon lot of issues and had to solve them on daily basis. But he never gave up. He stood up against all the problems and now he is a millionaire. What is that he had that led him to success? It is Self motivation. He constantly told himself that “he can” and finally he did it.
This is just a heads up about the motivational personality, Chris Gardner. Please visit the Wikipedia page about Chris Gardner to know more about him. Also don’t forget to watch the movie, Pursuit of Happyness.

The Story of Butterfly

The Story of Butterfly- Answer for one frequent question you ask yourself "what is my problem?"

A man found a cocoon of a butterfly. One day a small opening appeared. He sat and watched the butterfly for several hoursas it struggled to squeeze its body through the tiny hole. Then it stopped, as if it couldn't go further.

So the man decided to help the butterfly. He took a pair of scissors and snipped off the remaining bits of cocoon. The butterfly emerged easily butit had a swollen body and shriveled wings.

The man continued to watch it,expecting that any minute the wings would enlarge and expand enough to support the body,Neither happened! In fact the butterfly spent the rest of its life crawling around. It was never able to fly.

What the man in his kindness and haste did not understand:The restricting cocoon and the struggle required by the butterfly to get through the opening was a way of forcing the fluid from the body into the wings so that it would be ready for flight once that was achieved.

Sometimes struggles are exactly what we need in our lives.Going through life with no obstacles would cripple us.We will not be as strong as we could have beenand we would never fly.
